1. What is the minimum age for obtaining a driver’s license in Spain and be eligible for the DGT exam in English?

 

Driver’s licenses of class B, which give the right to drive a vehicle weighing up to 3.5 tons and with a capacity of no more than 8 passengers in addition to the driver, are issued in Spain from the age of 18.

 

The theoretical exam (Official English DGT Test) can be taken after reaching the age of 17 years and 9 months, and the practical exam – is only after reaching the age of 18 years.

 

2. How much does it cost to pass the DGT theory exam in Spain in English?
   

The state fee charged when applying to pass the exams for obtaining rights in Spain is 90.3 euros in 2015. After paying the fee, you get the right to 2 attempts to pass the theory and practice exams. If you do not comply with two requests, the state duty must be paid again and in full.
